As part of an ongoing effort to demonstrate national unity in recovering together and preventing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, the Ministry of Health has collaborated with Progresif Sdn Bhd to launch two lucky draw campaigns in February and April 2022 to encourage the public to get their booster vaccination upon reaching the 70% mark of the Brunei population and to get children between 5 and 11 years old vaccinated.
The booster and children’s Covid-19 vaccination lucky draw prize presentations was held in the Progresif Headquarters on 16 September 2022.
Madam Cheng Siok Tuan, Chief Executive Officer of Datastream Group of Companies, Juliana Sim, General Manager of Integrated Communications Sdn Bhd (INCOMM), Dr Norhayati binti Hj Md Kassim, Head of the Health Promotion Centre, and Haji Kamarul Azam bin Haji Mohamad, Acting Director of Administration and Finance at the Ministry of Health were all present to witness the ceremony.
In her opening speech, Progresif’s Chief Executive Officer Hajah Nurul Haniah binti Haji Jaafar expressed her gratitude to the winners as well as the frontliners, especially from
the Ministry of Health, for their dedication and services in preventing the spread of COVID- 19 as Brunei moved towards the phase of “Recover Together.”
During the ceremony, Dr. Ang Swee Hui, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Professional) from the Ministry of Health as the Guest of Honor, presented the grand prizes for the 70% booster shot campaign.
A total of four grand winners were selected from each district for the campaign booster campaign. The grand prize winners for the booster campaign were Haji Morni bin Awg Damit from Brunei Muara district, Siti Hanisah binti Zulkopali from Tutong district, Noradeewati Binti Amat from Temburong district, and Kumarasamy Raja Kumarasamy Alagumuthu from Kuala Belait district, for winning the VIVO Y76 with a 6-month FREE MORE6 line with no contract.
As a token of appreciation for receiving the booster vaccination and helping to protect the community, Hajah Nurul Haniah binti Haji Jaafar, awarded ten winners with a Progresif Prepaid Starter Pack and other Progresif Merchandise.
All the winners from the Booster vaccination campaign were drawn from a total of 315,485 people who took their booster vaccination across the country.
The event also announced winners from kid’s vaccination lucky draws, prizes were presented by Madam Cheng Siok Tuan, Chief Executive Officer of Datastream Group of Companies, to Dk Nurizatul Ajeelah binti Pg Kamal Ariffin from Brunei – Muara district, Noor Atikah Amalina binti Daud from Tutong district, Afina Arissa Nurthahirah binti
Mohammad Hanafi from Temburong district, and Zaheen Nur Zahira binti Hj Md Harmaini from Kuala Belait district for winning the Samsung Tab A7 Lite LTE with 6 months free MORE 6 without a contract. Ten consolation prize winners were also awarded $10 Progresif Starter Pack and other Progresif products.
The winners were among 36,381 children at the age of 5 to 11 who took their vaccination across all districts.
The vaccination campaign was a collaborative effort between Progresif and Integrated Communications Sdn. Bhd. (INCOMM) in support of the Ministry of Health. The rewards were part of a national-wide campaign open to all children in Brunei aged five to eleven who were taking their first vaccination dose from across all the vaccination centers.
